Forced Perspective

I worked with Kaitlin and Haley

1. I think that the photo of Kaitlin on the pole is the the most believable because it actually looks like she might be hanging in the air.
2. The most interesting shot is the shot of Haley in the ring because it is different and the ring is a really innovative idea that is different than the typical photo.
3. The most difficult part of taking these photos was planning them out and figuring out how to position people to create the images.

Advertisment

1. I used Haley's Alex and Ani bracelets because they're pretty and simple and have a lot of nice details.
2. My big idea was to emphasize the delicate beauty of jewelry. There is simplicity of the bracelets yet they are pretty and detailed.
3. My lighting was pretty direct. My color scheme consists of blues, greens, yellows, and dark grey.

Still Life

1. My still life represents strength in delicacy. The image of the tiger is a symbol of determination and power while the lightness of the fan and the use of the fan adds a feeling of softness.
2. My lighting is very direct.
3. I think my light is slightly too bright but I wasted to make sure I captured all the detail of the image  on the fan.

1. My still life represents my personality in my lanyard chain and the pattern of my house key.
2. My lighting is diffused. It is the lighting of the classroom.
3. I don't particularly like the subject of my photo so I would normally choose something else to shoot but I feel like I did well with the background and the colors.

Action/Motion

1. My favorite part of this image is that there is a lot going on with the subject and the background looks nice with the blue sky.
2.  I thought the most difficult part of this project was choosing photos from the burst so that they didn't overlap too much and flowed well.
3. The easiest part of this project was that it was ver simple in terms of using photoshop because there were not a lot of steps.

Fake Motion

My image looks sort of real. The part of the photo that is supposed to be moving is very small so it is hard to tell that it's in motion.

6 Frame Story

Merry-Go-Round

This is Haley as she gracefully twirls in a circle on stage. The vibe of her twirl correlates with the amazing and happy weather of the day.

final product

1. I think the most difficult part of this project was trying to decide what I wanted to do. It was hard trying to imagine the finished product and how I would get there.
2. I like my composition because I manipulated the two subjects in my photo to create proportion.
3. I could definitely try to take higher quality photos and use filters so that my shot and the background have the same tone.

Surreal Photography

  1. I used the brush to blend the ice skater into the sky.
  1. I think my image contains the same values of the colors.
  1. For me it was not too difficult because the way I combined the image is very simple.
  1. I probably could have tried a more difficult combination and had a more complex kind of image with more blending and color alterations.

City in a Bottle

1. I learned how a clipping mask works and how to place images in my file. I also learned how duplicating the bottle made it more realistic looking and emphasized.
2. My final file had 31 layers.
3. I did like this assignment because the end product was very cool and I had the chance to kind of customize my bottle.

Speed Challenge

I liked Stone's images because:
1. They contain high AND low values
2. They are captured from many different angles
3. The pictures contain a lot of patterns

1. I like the detail and different elements of my shot.
2. I think my shot is amazing because it has a cool pattern in the pinecone and is very detailed.
3. I enhanced the saturation and vibrance. I also cooled the image down a bit to create the blue tone throughout.
4. Trying to find natural and beautiful pictures around campus was difficult because there are buildings and dances everywhere.
5. My image demonstrates the use of line and shape and also emphasis.

 Plastic Wrap

1. My favorite image is my shot of the flower bud. It has pretty colors and nice focus.
2. My last image of the shell has good balance and my shot of the dandelion shows this too. The pattern on the shell creates movement. The photo of the flower bud shows emphasis.
3. The shot of the flower bud (my Favorite) demonstrates emphasis, movement, line, and use of color.
4. My favorite filter is the Glowing Edges filter because it almost looks like a neon sign. The color are very vibrant.

Landscape

My favorite image is my shot of the field and track.

1. I used the rule of thirds to emphasize the land.
2. I think I incorporated movement with the lines on the track. I also think proportion can be seen with the scoreboard and bleachers as well as the mountain in the back.
3. The image was shot in the early afternoon, around 2 o'clock. This was an okay time to shoot but there were a lot of clouds which made everything extremely bright.
4. The background and sky have a very different value and hue than the foreground which helps to create a bold and diverse picture.

Desaturation Method

Gradient Map

Lab Color

Channel Mixer

1. The lab color method produced the best looking image for me.
2. The lab color and gradient map allowed me to achieve a large range of values but the other two methods are not very diverse in range.
